About PSI RPNow

"RPNow is an online proctoring platform that makes (online) testing more accessible through a flexible Cloud model. Working seamlessly with any test delivery system to make online assessments scalable, effective, RPNow supports every phase of assessment from creation to results review."
PSI RPNow pilot consists of two applications integrated via Moodle's LTI, RPNow (web based portal) used by staff create and register proctored exams and PSI Secure Browser (client base software) used by students to have their assessments proctored online. Our pilot, now planned for Semester 2, 2018, uses the new portal, therefore some of the features have not yet been transferred (see known issues below).

ES pilot at UNSW

From Semester 2, 2018, as part of the Digital Assessment Project we have be running a limited pilot for PSI RPnow.

The Expression of Interest (EOI) form for other pilots including RPNow can be accessed at: https://teaching.unsw.edu.au/telt-pilot-form

Once participant numbers allow, weekly virtual pilot update meetings will be held via Blackboard Collaborate, alternating between Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am - 10.30am throughout the semester. These sessions will be flexible, agenda's determined via a Moodle discussion forum where pilot participants nominate topics to be covered, request specific demonstrations, or assistance with particular problems. One session per week is scheduled subject to demand. All changes will be communicated via the Moodle discussion forum.

Plus, with support from faculty based TELT Administrators, if necessary, hands on assistance can be provided to build ExamSoft assessments.

We encourage you to explore the Digital Assessment Project Pilot Overview, which outlines important information for Pilot Participants such as the Pilot Timeline (including course planning and development workshops), as well as general information about:

· The goal of DAP pilots and evaluation projects
· The opportunities and benefits the pilots will provide for participants
· The contribution pilot participants will make to this project

The DAP Pilot and Evaluation process aims to ensure the provision of educationally effective technologies to staff and students. It is expected that pilot participants will assist us in delivering a survey, evaluating the educational value and learning effectiveness of Moodle, to their students. If you have not done so already, please take a few minutes to familiarise yourself with the new TELT Evaluation Wikispace site, which contains more information on the structure and results of the evaluation process.
